Antique Japanese pair of silver shokudai or candlesticks Made of repousse silver with motifs of scrolling vines and chrysanthemums. The base and top of each candle stick is lobed in a lotus pod form with scalloped edges.

Antique Japanese bronze sutra container of a pagoda form with very tall finial and calligraphy inscription. The bronze shows beautiful green patina inside and on the foot and the lid shows old corrosion. The burial of sutras in sutra mounds began in 1007 when Fujiwara no Michinaga had a gilt bronze sutra container inscribed upon its burial at the Kinpusen sutra mound in Yoshino. It is apparent that a variety of reasons lay behind the creation of these sutra mounds...

Japanese vintage original 12 pc. silverware set with five spoons, five two prong forks, and a butterknife and scalloped spoon. Each piece in the set is stamped on the handle with Martian mark, trademark of Sato Shoji, Japan. Four of the pieces show natural patina from being exposed to oxygen. Included with original storage box marked Espoir on the lid.

A seething dragon in white bronze by Mitsui Yoshio dating circa 1930 enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The very distinct character of the creature is similar to the famous dragons of Yakushiji temple in Nara. It is 32 cm (12-1/2 inches) long, 25 cm (10 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

A patinated bronze okimono of a young woman with a beautiful face, dating around 1910. On her back a large basket and in her hand she was carrying a tool. Signed "Seiya" on the base. Dimension: 29.5 cm high, weight: 2.4 kg. Condition: tool broken off, few tiny areas with wear to the patina.

Hand-forged iron Jizai Okimono articulated spiny lobster. Each iron plate is carefully repousse hammered, creating a natural realism. The lobster is fully splayed on steel plates and armature wire. All ten legs and long antenna and articulated with multiple joints on each leg. Exquisitely crafted, showing off a very high skill of the metal worker. With artist signature underneath the lobster.

Japanese bronze fu-dog and ball. The playful fu-dog stands with mouth open in a dynamic pose with back feet on the ground and front paws on the ball. The ball is made of open work bronze with a design of peonies and scrolling vines.
