Very large Japanese Taisho to early Showa period cloisonné enamel wide shouldered vase tapering to a narrow base decorated with a dense assorted floral spray on the front and a single flower to the back all set against a dark blue ground. Copper substrate, base and rims. Circa 1915-1930. 14 5/8” high x about 8 1/2” wide. Very good overall condition. There are faintly visible spider crack scratches to the blue ground...

This is a large and exquisite antique Japanese cloisonné-enamel and embossed-foil (ginbari) Akasuke (Pigeon Blood) footed bowl with a lid and silvered mounts. The bowl's body is covered with red ginbari featuring a bamboo pattern, while the lid is decorated with fine details of pink and white roses and green leaves on a translucent deep red ginbari ground with the same bamboo pattern...

Antique Japanese cloisonné box with dark blue navy enamel background on its top and sides, with shimmering gold flakes. The lid has a beautiful scene of two birds flying over a running stream while a beautiful cluster of chrysanthemums arches over them. The sides have small gold spirals with lilac and pastel yellow enamel flowers. The bottom of the lid is done with a reticulation of inlay spirals over vibrant green enamel...

A blossoming plum rises majestically on the simulated matt-metal finish of this cloisonné vase by the Ando studio marked on the base. The interior is a rich dark blue, the exterior flat orange peel textured metal gray with the flower laden branches rising up in moriage. It is 30.5 cm (12 inches) tall, 18.5 cm (7 inches) diameter and in fine condition, enclosed in a wooden box.

Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with black enamel background; one side with imagery of two cranes standing beside a creek, bright flowers and bamboo in the background; the other side with a male peacock standing on a rock structure beside a female peacock, blooming peonies behind them. Antique Japanese cloisonne jewelry/treasure box, made from bronze, with deep navy blue sides decorated with gold cloud shapes. The lid has a beautiful cloisonne landscape with overhanging cherry blossoms on tree branches, a tower and building with blue roofing, and a red bridge crossing over a running river. The inside of the box is inscribed "Kyoto" and has the mark of artist Inaba Nanaho of The Inaba Cloisonne Company, established in 1887. Size: 1.75" height, 3.75" width

A Japanese "arrow toss" game vase made of copper and decorated with polychrome enamels, the rims and wires are gilt. Showing antiques and auspicious symbols on a white ground, the base with "fuku" mark. The "arrow-toss" game originated from China and was at the beginning very popular with the aristocrats and survived as a pastime well into the Edo period. From an old Swiss private collection. Condition: few traces of usage, the mouth rim is inside a bit bent (see pict. 12)...
