Large square platter with rounded corners, scalloped rims and an uneven surface. Yellowish cream-colored stoneware that turned orange-brown by the fire, covered in a gray-blue finely crackled glaze with greenish spots.

Japanese 19th C. Seto Stoneware Ishizara heavy Food Dish, Platter, with Creamy Color well potted and good color of typical Setoware Food Plate, 14" diameter 2 1/2" high, the condition is one of the best old Kiln Seto ware in Edo Period. Kanji Mark inside unglazed center on the bottom.

Japanese antique Oribe ware fan shaped dish. Standing on 3 little round feet. The dish, made to look like a partially folded fan, is decorated with vibrant green glaze. Bands of stylized wave motif are painted in brown overglaze.

It displays much of the most notable aspects of Mino ware, from the rough white clay torn and scarred, the rich green of Oribe copper, and the snow-white and gray and of Shino and Nezumi Shino wares.
