A good, Chinese moss agate snuff bottle. Color variegation ranges from from a milky pale aubergine to a dark mossy green with areas of earthy red inclusion and structure. Natural, pleasant, minute pits appearing lightly placed on the surface. Ever so slightly convex, level foot. Similar concavity to the top. Light green quartz stopper. Bottle height, nearly 2 1/4 inches. With stopper, 2 3/4 inches.

The carving details include curled eyebrows, a pronounced snout, and a poised stance, giving the piece a sense of alertness.

A well carved Chinese whitish celadon jade snuff bottle in the form of a finger citron, or Buddha's Hand. Qianlong period, 18th century. 8cms long. Jaffe collection label. This piece of jade has a lovely smooth surface, weight and is a joy to handle.

Late Qing hand carved turquoise snuff bottle with bok choy and radish along with an ant, cicada, grasshopper and cricket. The workmanship and details is superbly done including the insects, having very fine details to the legs, antennae and bodies.
