$2,500.00 Chinese porcelain snuff bottle in the likeness of a playful lion, also known as 'Shi' or 'Foo Dog', with a yellow body, light green tail and mane, brown, bushy eyebrows, and chewing on a xiù qiú ball with flower designs and a green ribbon tied around it. The front of the xiù qiú is the opening to the snuff bottle and has a Jade stopper. 19th century

The topper is carved from coral and resembles the cap of the gourd bottle. 19th century

The wan symbol is used in Asian religions such as Buddhism or Hinduism as a symbol of peace and enlightenment. 19th century

Dragons are a symbol of good luck to the Chinese and also used to represent the emperor of China. Five claws is a symbol of elitism, while three or four claws is suitable for commonfolk. 19th century
