19th century Chinese carved green fluorite scholar's table libation cup/brush washer with nice purple highlights on the superbly done top rim. It is carved in high relief with birds, flowers and rockery with the bottom part having a twisting stem type riser. In excellent condition, it measures without stand 3" high x 3" long (at the very top rim) x 2.25" wide as the top rim flairs out more across the length.

Large Qing dynasty Chinese porcelain water dropper in the form of a Buddhist lion dog crouching with one paw resting on a ball. The top of the head has a large opening for the addition of water. A small hole in the mouth functions as the dropper. The figure is covered in a cream and brown colored glaze. The unglazed flat, smooth base holds a single character. Antique Chinese carved Jade signature seal. Rectangular cong form carved of jade-green stone with orange striations and black flecks. Intricately carved on all sides. One side, a sage or scholar with long staff. On another side, a flower vase on a stand with a bird on a branch. Another side is carved with a blossoming branch. And one side has a design of a bat.

It is in cast bronze, the finish is of the highest quality as well as the chasing. The perfection of the line of the hairs is the work of an excellent chiseller. A rare bronze (copper tin alloy) incense tool holder, very finely cast in archaised Song Dynasty style. The square form neck is decorated alternately with Lingzhi fungus and stylized Acanthus leaves. Both are traditionally associated with resilience, good health and long life.

This item was made for the Chinese Scholar's Table in the 17th Century in the "Transitional Period" during the late Ming or early Qing Dynasties.
