18th Century Chinese Parcel Gilt Bronze Sawasa Tripod Censer with Fu Lion Finial

A fine large Chinese gilt-bronze tripod ding, Ming dynasty, 16th/17th century. Height 22cms, width 18cms. Provenance: Sotheby Parke Burnett, Hong Kong, 12th May 1983. The Law Collection.

An antique Tibetan temple bell and Vajra both made of bronze. Four prong bronze bell and matching four prong bronze vajra (diamond / thunderbolt). Beautiful design with ritual wear. There is an image of a bodhisattva’s head on the bell handle, a dorje design on outer rim with an embossed relief lotus design on the inner bell. Nice ringing note when sounded.

Age: 19th Century

Bell measures 6 3/4" high by 3 3/4" diameter. Vajra measures 5" long by 1 1/2" in diameter.

Chinese antique bronze jue, a wine vessel for drinking fermented millet beverages in rituals to ancestors. The libation cup is supported by three tapered legs. The wide mouth rim is has two finials on either side and an animal-headed handle on one side. The body of the cup is encircled with three raised bands of archaic leiwen motif.
