The doucai technique allows for controlled details and vibrant colors as the outlines are first painted on as a blue underglaze and then fired. Antique Chinese small blue and white glazed porcelain ink cake container. The lid is domed and decorated with a lively five-clawed dragon floating in a sky with wisps of clouds and the flaming jewel. The bottom portion of the container is also decorated with a wave-like pattern and a Qianlong mark. Inside are still the colorful ink remnants from it's previous scholarly owner.

Delicately carved and glazed white with brown, orange and gold over painting. Very subtle purple and green high lights on the tips of the lotus petals. Sits on a hardwood stand intricately carved with more bats and lingzhi. Daoguang Period (1821-1850)

Antique Chinese porcelain water coupe in the form of a pine branch. Whimsically sculpted with a gibbon hanging from it's handle. Glazed a lovely mauve color on the outside and a white glaze inside. Underside has Wang Bing Rong mark in a raised cartouche. Wang Bing Rong (1840-1900) specialized in carved decoration on porcelain and was active during the Tongzhi to Gunagxu Period.

Antique Chinese pair of porcelain bowls, glazed white and with detailed overpainting in orange and gold of dragons and flaming pearl. Each bowl has two five-clawed dragons on either side of the pearl. Eyes are green and black and every scale is finely outlined in gold. Daoguang (1821-1850) mark on the bottom.

A Rare of Ming dynasty 15th century (Interregnum period) Moon Flask, fairly heavy potted and decorated with nicely lotus and floral sprays. Amazing antique Chinese porcelain dish. Beautifully formed, glazed with a rich monochrome turquoise color. Standing on four small unglazed feet. Intricately decorated with tiny drum-like rivets around the outer edge and on the inside with raised stylized 5-bat motif around a central prosperity symbol. The underside has an incised 6 character Qianlong zhuanzhu mark (1735-1796) or later.

Fine Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Bowl with Floral Pattern

This fine-quality porcelain bowl was made during the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1127 - 1279). The inner surface is skilfully decorated with an incised floral pattern, most likely the peony. The bowl is coated in a finely-crackled translucent greenish-blue qingbai glaze of good colour. Further decoration is provided by six "V"-shaped "notches" spread equidistant around the rim...
