A twin-handled bronze censer. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Description:

A bronze water basin was inscribed with poems and carved with beautiful scenery on the surface.
The inscriber was Pu Ton, A sibling of the last emperor of Qing Dynasty Pu Yi.
Pu Ton was also a famous scholar of late Qing to early Republic periods.
This bronze piece was cast in thin wall but was kept in very good condition with darken patina on the surface.

Date: 1924, by the Chinese lunar date JiaZi inscribed before the poem.

Elegant silver cigarette case, the lid decorated with bamboo. Inside marked "Tackhing", "90% silver" and a Chinese character mark. This silversmith was active between the late 19th century and early 20th century in Hong Kong. With original blue silk lined paper box, the lid with glass. This item was made during late 16th / early 17th Century, probably during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). A two panel screen, ink and light color on gold by Mizuta Chikuho (1883-1958).
