Japanese silk kimono decorated with a beautiful scene of flowers including irises, peonies, and chrysanthemums with a little stream in color with gold details all on a very light cream color ground, Taisho Period. Size: 58" high x 51" wide.

Decorated with Fo dogs, typical for the Jiajing period (1522-1566). H. 17 cm. The lid also dates from the Ming Dynasty but was matched with the jar. Condition: the jar is in very good condition, the lid has a chip.

Its fastly but expertly thrown body is glazed inside and outside, with the exception of the bottom including the roughly cut foot ring with an ash glaze which has some Feldspat mixed in glaze.
