It is made up of hundreds of rolled sheafs of shaved clay covered in a white slip and fused together. The amount of work which goes into each sculpture is obvious, making her work great value.

SOLD Chinese pair of monochrome porcelain vases with a speckled raspberry glaze. They are of an elegant, elongated tapering form, the bases of each vase marked with Hongxian red seal. In the year 1916, Yuan Shikai attempted to reinstate monarchy by naming himself the Emperor of China after the Qing Dynasty was overthrown in 1911. Due to extreme backlash, his reign lasted for less than 100 days, ending on March 1916.
