All original hand forged iron hardware including the unusual side carrying handles which when swiveled up, allowed a wooden pole through it allowing two persons to transport it. Antique Japanese ko tansu (small chest of drawers). The piece is made with Sugi (cypress) hardwood top and sides, while the front is made with Kuri (chestnut) wood, with the original red lacquer finish and black lacquer frame. The piece holds five drawers of various sizes with heavy iron lingzhi form lock plates, and warabite style handles.

An antique Japanese small Ko Tansu for personal storage made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. The tansu has one large drawer and four medium drawers. The right hand lower corner has a hinged door behind which are two drawers with secret compartments behind each drawer. Iron hardware includes semi-round lock plates, drawer pulls, and corner bracing.

An antique small tansu of kiri wood from the Taisho period. Sliding doors behind which books and small objects were stored. Lower drawers were used to store documents, photos, ephemera, receipts, etc.

Original bronze hardware. The sliding door handles feature a quarter moon casting light on a garden of flowers and the lock plates have a Kamon *family crest" design of a Botan (Peony) blossom with its leaves encircling the flower.

A very unusual incense burner in the form of two servants holding up Hotei as he looks joyously toward the night sky. It is performed in crackled white glaze over pale clay with simple iron decoration. An exceptional web of gold interspersed with nishiki-cloth patterned designs on gold lacquer fuses this once broken 16th-17th century Koro with ami-me net patterned solid silver lid.
