An antique Japanese Shinto Shrine (also known as a Kamidana, Yashiro or Omiya) housing the deities Ebisu and Daikoku. The shrine was made from Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) while the deities were hand carved from Tsugenoki (Boxwood).

Fabulous celebratory Shinto Shrine gable carving Ca. 1850. Carved from keyaki wood, the sixteen petal chrysanthemum is the crest or mon (紋) of the Japanese emperor and is often seen displayed on Shinto shrines throughout the country. A very unusual Shino-yaki ceramic Tsuri-doro hanging lantern with bronze handle and chain dating from the early 20th century, Meiji to Taisho period. Japanese Shino ware ceramic chawan or tea ceremony bowl. Shino ware is easily identified by thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes. One side of the bowl has dark brown underglaze design of flowers while the opposite side has flecks and lines, along the dramatic ribbed edges of the body. The foot of the bowl is formed flattened and is left bare without any glaze.
