Very little distorted cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) tea bowl with a rounded brim, made of little reddish, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part and through the finger marks (rokuro-me) covered with an ash glaze inside and outside. The little iron oxide in the clay turned the glaze to light brown.

The expertly thrown body was covered with the typical green copper oxide glaze inside and outside. A 'window' on the side has been left unglazed and is decorated with fern sprouts. This is a typical late Momoyama design, which seems to represent winter and summer. You can find a black Oribe bowl with a similar design in the Nezu Museum.

An exquisite platter on two legs by Aoyama Tetsuro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The rush of white and and soft blue across the surface is reminiscent of the “Ma”, or blank space of an ink waterfall painting. It measures 41 x 40.5 x 10 cm (16 x 16 x 4 inches) and is in excellent condition.

A beautiful religious painting in ink and colors on paper. Depiction of the holy image of Manjusri, the painting was preserved very well with only some old stains left on the outer portion of the painting.
It measures 230cm long X 100cm wide for the work including mounting. Otherwise the painting measures 166cm X 85cm.

A pair Chinese silver spill vases made for the Western export or used in the Chinese market as incense stick holders. Decorated with prunus twigs, standing on three splayed feet with original clear glass inserts. Base with maker's mark "WH90", standing for the Wang Hing Company, working in Shanghai and Hong Kong around 1900. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, one insert seems to be a bit too long.
