Carved wood figure of multi armed ferocious deity with 3 faces, gilt lacquer, carved with wonderful movement and flowing draper, purchased as Japanese but possibly Chinese, 15th century. Size: 28" high x 28" wide

A set of three finely executed paintings in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing different plants and butterflies. Mounted in later red lacquered wooden frames. Dimension: paintings: c. 23.5 cm x 17.3 cm, frames: c. 29.1 cm x 35.4 cm. Condition: fine, frames with some wear. Three Water Droppers from Japan. Two droppers show a boy holding a red snapper fish which is symbolic of good luck. The third dropper has Hotei's bag holding the water. Hotei is the god of contentment and happiness, and his bag holds an inexhaustible cache of treasures. The standing boy measures about 3" high x 1 3/4" wide. Three Chinese Export flat plates from the Kangxi period. Decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the Imari palette and gold. The rim in underglaze dark brown. Condition: minor wear to gold. Two plates with few tiny rim frits and flakes and with total 3 rim chips (see picture 10). Dimension: diameter: 22.5 cm.

These offering stands were used in Korea on a family altar to elevate offering to worship ones ancestors. These stands were owned by poor people and farmers, and they are good examples of Korean folk art. The largest stand is about 6" in diameter, followed by one at 5 1/2" and the other at 4 3/4". All of them show spur marks and grit where they were stacked for firing in a large kiln. They are all in good condition with no damage. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

Three thin and lovely cups and saucers with underglaze blue reserves of landscapes, birds and couples against an iron-red and gilt background. All parts marked Mikawachi where most Hirado porcelain of the period was made. An extra saucer to go with the rest, without cost. Height of cups "2¼/ 5,8 cm, diameter of saucers "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

Set of three large graduated Japanese Arita porcelain serving bowls, each decorated in underglaze blue with a landscape scene featuring a temple set against craggy mountains and trees. A flowing band of scrolling foliage encircles the exterior. Late Meiji Period to early 20th century. Base marked. In diameter, each measures: 10," 8 7/8" and 7 1/2." In height, they are 3 3/4," 3 3/8" and 2 3/4." Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. From a Tucson, Arizona estate.

Three Mandarin Hat Finials. A clear glass of the 5th rank. Two gilt of the 7/9th ranks. Chinese Qing 1644-1911. Height of clear finial; 4 1/8" (10.3 cm). Condition; minor faults, slight corrosion to small gilt finial.

Three fine 20th century Japanese lacquer trays. Each with boats and pine decoration in gold tones upon a dark brown ground. The trays gradually bowed and of square shape but with slightly curved sides and raised on four, shaped feet. 11 1/16" x 11 1/8" (about 28cm square).
