Manji Buddhist symbol has Sanskrit roots and means “the mark of well being.” Size 8cm high 12.8cm wide. No damage An original painting on shikishi paper by Suda Kyochu (1908 - 1964), depicting a frog in a pond. Painted in ink and with natural pigments. Suda Kyochu was a pupil of Seison Maeda (1885 - 1977), one of the greatest contemporary Japanese painters and one of the founders of the Nihonga movement. Signed and with original folder. Condition: fine. Dimension: 17 cm x 24.2 cm.
