SOLD Japanese lacquer tray with low relief depiction of a peacock in fine gold maki-e lacquer, with maki-e lacquer chrysanthemums, against a nashiji gold flake ground. The peacock's face and the "eyes" of the feathers are inlaid with finely ground shell. The edges of the tray are of a mokko melon shape and the reverse of the tray is all in nashiji lacquer. With display stand.

SOLD Chinese monochrome porcelain vase in a peach bloom underglaze of mottled green and red. The body of the vase is slightly rounded with a dramatic flattened two step foot, left unglazed around the edges. The neck is tall, slender and cylindrical in shape and fades to white around the rim. With six character Kangxi mark in cobalt blue on base. Most likely 19th century.

$3,500.00 A small Chinese eggshell thin ceramic bowl with celadon green underglaze. The center of the bowl is incised with floral motifs and scrolls, and the outer edges are scored with ridged lines. The body tapers to a small, slightly recessed foot with the edges exposed without glaze.

SOLD Chinese blue and white cylindrical porcelain incense vessel with a hardwood lid, carved with openwork lingzhi mushroom motifs and tripod feet. The vessel body depicts a scene of a scholar and attendant standing against a large rock formation. The sun in the sky above and the moon on the reverse side. Two fu dog heads form the pierced handles on the vessel.

The foliate edges of the dish are made to look like the petals of a flower, and the interior and exterior body are incised and slightly lobed for each petal. The well of the dish with incised motif of three swimming fish on wave ground, and low relief geometric scrolls and arrows along the inner edges, the rim left bare from glaze. The outer body slightly lobed and the foot is shallowly recessed and very wide and flat.

SOLD Chinese antique snuff bottle, carved entirely from turquoise in the form of a small adorable toad. The lower body of the toad appears more green and transitions to the classic turquoise blue in the upper body and face. the stone is mottled with natural dark brown oxide veining. The small toad is carved with a smiling, open mouth with a carved turquoise stopper.
