Sold, Thank you! A blossoming plum rises majestically on the simulated matt-metal finish of this cloisonné vase by the Ando studio marked on the base. The interior is a rich dark blue, the exterior flat orange peel textured metal gray with the flower laden branches rising up in moriage. It is 30.5 cm (12 inches) tall, 18.5 cm (7 inches) diameter and in fine condition, enclosed in a wooden box.

Chuzenji, Utagahama Size: Approximately 6.0 x 4.0 inches. Date: 1930s-1950s. Tipped at top edge to original cardstock. Medium: Japanese woodblock print. Condition: Small bend at lower left corner. Light creasing. Architectural element which was probably the top part of a household altar. This element --- which represents a protecting ancestor head surmounted by a symbolic coiffe --- is resting on a squarish base. The piece is made of wood with a nice age patina. Indonesia, Leti Island. Height: 57 cm. Partial loss on the top, erosion, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: old French provincial collection.

Sealed Yuhan in Japanese within the image. Condition: Very good to excellent with slight toning of paper. This rarely seen print is also signed "Y. Ito" in pencil and titled "Cryptomeria Highway, Nikko" with edition number 12/25. Head of a funeral statue, carved from wood, in the typical aesthetic style of the Batak sculpture. Fine age patina. Indonesia, Sumatra Island, Batak ethnic group. Height: 30 cm. Obvious signs of wear and age, otherwise good condition. A rather scarce object.
