It is 23.1 inches (58.7 cm) tall by 9 inches (22.8 cm) wide. It is 16 Lb.

It has rubbing of paint and gold, skip glazes, stains, firing cracks at the bottom, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Every Noh mask represents a specific character, and when the shite (performer) puts on their mask, the term for putting on clothing (kaburu) is not used. Rather, it is called kakeru or tsukeru (to hang/to attach), as this symbolizes the transformation into the character. Japanese plaster and paper mache mask of a Boddhisattva (Bosatsu in Japanese), a Buddhist monk who has reached a high level of enlightenment. The mask has long earlobes, typical of a holy being in Buddhism, green lacquered hair pulled into two buns, and golden lacquer skin with traces of black lacquer. Early 20th century. The Balinese version of Topeng would include many different character masks, some speaking and some non-speaking. Antique hand-carved wooden half mask of some sort of god or deity, with recognizable features of a deity such as the elongated earlobes, and winglike hair and eyebrows. Has small traces of red lacquer, and above its lips are remains of where many bunches of hair would once have been, missing due to antiquity. Visible chisel marks are apparent inside. 18th/19th century Size: 11" height, 7" width

Chinese wooden hand carved mask of a smiling man, its jaw left open so that the wearer had an easier time speaking. Features of the mask include red lacquer lips, black lacquer eyebrows, nice carved details such as the teeth, nostrils, wrinkled forehead and hair. 18th/19th century Size: 6.75" height, 4.75" width

Sino Tibetan bronze statue of the Buddhist deity Tara, the "mother of liberation" and representation of the virtues of success in work and achievements. She is a tantric figure whose image is used as a focus for meditation. She is shown gesturing the Dharmachakra Mudra, or Wheel-Turning Mudra, expressing the continuous energy of the cosmic order. Beautiful Chinese antique tray made of intricately carved red cinnabar with carved black lacquer overlay, the red lacquer is carved in a tiny patterned background while the black lacquer is carved as a scene of scholars in a garden setting with black mountains rising on the other side of a carved cinnabar lake, the edges are carved with flowers and bats, stands on four small feet, late 19th century. It features iron hardware with heart motifs, five drawers with hirute shaped handles and elegant backings and locks, and a bottom corner lockbox with two small drawers hidden inside. She attended California School of Fine Art and studied under Otis Oldfield. Most well known for character portraits of famous political figures including this one of Chang Kai-Shek.
