A very Fine Korean Peony Incised Celadon Cup-Stand-12th C.: Korea, Koryo dynasty, 12th century. Finely potted cup stand with flaring saucer is on raised ring foot, decorated with four large single delicately incised peony and are each other around the saucer bordered by bands of key-fret patterns beneath a rich translucent celadon glaze evenly whole body, three spur marks. It’s in very good condition without any damages at all, and measures 13.5cm d. x 5.2cm h.

Antique 19th century Tibetan, huge Drinking Horn used to hold and dispense Chhaang or barley beer. The slightly curved large horn body mounted with four brass mounts each hammered and finely repoussed with Ruyi heads and roiling waves ornaments and fitted with three suspension loops. The wider end has been plugged with a disk of wood. The other end has been similarly plugged but leaving a small hole from which the liquid can be poured.

Hard to find nowadays: slightly distorted shoe shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl from the early Edo Period with a rounded brim, made of little iron bearing, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part around the foot ring.

The whole body was decorated with wide white parallel lines in a white engobe over which a thin line in iron oxide was drawn, over which finally transparent ash glaze was applied - really stunning.

This covered box of a Sawankhalok underglazed black stoneware has an unusual design including six raised bands dividing petal-shaped segments. This type of Sawankhalok ware was produced in Sisatchanelai kilns, Thailand during the fourteenth to fiftheenth centuries. Height: 11 cm. Very good condition. Provenance: Acquired in Singapore in 1990 from MoonGate, owner Mr K. T. Goh, a famous local antique dealer.

Chinese white jade vase carving of Liu Haichan or "Master Sea-Toad", a 10th century Daoist xian immortal, with a string of square-holed coins and his mythical three-legged money toad. Lotus pods, peonies, birds, and waves are carved all around the body of the jade vase. The base is carved wood into reticulated root pattern.
