SOLD Large antique canopy wedding bed, originating from Indonesia for the Chinese market. Elaborately carved with gilt reticulated panels depicting various animals, flora, and mythical creatures along the top front of the canopy, with gilt filigree along the side posts. The legs are carved as scrolling dragons and birds in red, black, and gilt lacquer. A shelf runs along the canopy back with side compartments. Early 20th century.

$1,850.00 Antique Japanese solid ebony hardwood cha tansu, for storing and displaying tea ceremony articles. The top of the piece has a wide compartment behind two sliding panel doors, with two open shelves below. Its sides are carved with a reticulated honeycomb design. The bottom of the chest has two Persimmon burl sliding panels opening to a lovely shelved interior with foliate carved paneling and two small drawers.
Taisho period (1912-1925) Size: 32" L x 17" W x 43" H This antique Japanese Marquetry box is a good example of the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that marked the Japanese Meiji Period. The sides of the lid have scalloped opening which ease the removal opening of the box which was probably designed for glove storage.

An iconic work in pale white by Living National Treasure Tsukamoto Kaiji enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Hakuji Wakaba-mon Dai-zara (Footed white porcelain dish decorated with young leaves. The execution is breathtaking, so perfectly formed it demonstrates clearly the talent for which he was named a Living National Treasure. It is 23.5 cm (9-1/2 inches) square, 5.5 cm (2 inches) tall and is in excellent condition.
