In our opinion this is the best Iga Vase, we have ever seen. Massive and intentionally distorted Vase of wonderful native Iga clay. The vase is 3300 g heavy and has a height of 8,1'' and a width of 7,1'', which is very tall for an antique Iga vase.

The vase was made between 1800 - 1850 during the later Edo Period and is in good antique condition. No repairs. Only an untimportant chip on the bottom caused during the process of firing. The vase comes with an old wooden box.

Antique Chinese pair of stone temple door supports with carvings of fu dogs, seated on tanggu (ceremonial drums) on large pedestals. Intricately carved detail with emblems of dragons and auspicious characters on the front of each pedestal. The smaller female fu dog on the left is carved with her mouth closed, while the larger male on the right has an open mouth. This is a typical depiction to represent the sacred mantra "om". Extremely heavy, solid stone.

Unusual original Japanese flint lighter netsuke. Constructed of iron and brass, this piece would have been used to create a steady fame in less then perfect conditions. The striker would create contact friction and create a spark igniting the fuel source. Firearms at this time required a flame in order to ignite the fuse. Antique Japanese large indigo Tsutsugaki yogi robe made out of a futon cover, with a paste-resist Kikumon, or Chrysanthemum crest on its back, also called the Imperial Seal of Japan. Tsutsugaki is a technique in which bindings are applied to the cotton threads in any desired pattern and dye is applied over them. The bindings resist the dye, leaving behind patterns in the original color of the threads. The edges of fabric are sewn together using white sashiko stichwork.

Antique Chinese porcelain brush washer, with ocean landscape scenes of boats on the water, and inscription on the backside with red chop. The foot is slightly recessed with unusual red mark. The brush washer is of a round form with flattened base and a wide mouth with a very short lip.
