$5,000.00 Unusual secondary burial jar carved of white limestone in the form of a person. Wonderfully sculpted with the head and shoulders making up the lid portion of the jar. The body of the jar is carved with the person's arms in low relief while the rest of the jar maintains an ovoid form. Kulaman Plateau, Cotobatu, Philippines.

SOLD Antique Japanese Funa Tansu (ship safe chest) made all of quarter sawn cut Keyaki (elm) wood with revealing natural woodgrain and finish. Cut out appliqué hardware with incised floral motifs adorns the body of the tansu. There are six drawers altogether.

$5,000.00 Rare Japanese Funa Tansu known as a Ship Captain's vault chest. Made with beautiful original thick Hinoki (Japanese cedar) wood, with triangular mortis and tenon joinery. The corners and drawers are accented by attractive ash color iron plating. The inside of the chest holds a unique array of seven drawers in a natural finish, with hirute type drawer pulls and all but three with additional locks.

SOLD Tall, rectangular arrow case completely covered with mother of pearl (Raden) inlay. The apex lid has the gilt "Mitsudome" symbol commonly associated with Hachiman, the Shinto god of war.
