An Early Japanese Bronze Mirror, Kagami, Circa 1600. (No.1) This bronze mirror (kagami) was almost certainly made in the Momoyama period. It has a turtle (minogame) as a central boss, pierced for a cord. It also features a pair of cranes, their beaks touching the head of the turtle as in the act of kissing. This beneath a splendid pine tree. Under the turtle is found the inscription 'Tenjō' (?) possibly meaning Heaven.

Gilt and Gold plated silver hairpin of Qing era

A fine Qing Dynasty, Tongzhi period (1861-1875) bowl with a unique shape and vivid colors inside and out. Artistic and finely distinct embossed painted design on the exterior of the bowl.

Nicely aged patinated Japanese old ivory letter opener or possibly a page turner with carved and dyed lizard making its way up the handle. The piece is 9.5 inches long and .5 inches wide. It is slightly doomed across the width and the "blade" section is sharpened on one side... Really a lovely piece.

A fine example of a Song Dynasty bowl with a greenish grey glaze. Item is in good condition without chips or cracks. Diameter: 6 inches. High resolution images by email on request.

Chinese unglazed pottery jar with impressed, cross-hatch decoration, four lug handles and flat base. 5 1/4” high x 6 3/4” diameter. Warring States period (475-221 B.C.) or possibly earlier. Very good overall condition with typical wear and soiling. From the private collection of a former American expatriate to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.

Large Thai Sawankhalok round form covered stoneware box in the shape of a mangosteen fruit decorated in iron-black/brown glaze on a buff-colored ground with a zig-zag pattern on the lid and stylized scrolling vines on the bottom.
