A fine, modern footed dish with red, green and yellow overglaze and with cobalt blue and manganese underglaze decoration. Antique Japanese bronze hibachi decorated with dragons and chickens. The chickens have their wings spread as they give the illusion they are flying out of the body. The dragons walk across the body of the vessel. There are three small feet with incised scrolling designs. It measures 9" tall, 13" wide at the mouth, 18" wide from handle to handle. Meiji period, 1868-1912.

Japanese persimmon wood cha tansu (tea chest), made chestnut wood frame, kiri (paulownia) wood drawer interiors, and beautiful solid persimmon wood panels, dramatic grain, large compartment opens with sliding panels to reveal stepped level shelf inside, Taisho Period (c1920). Size: 35 1/4" high x 29 1/4" wide x 12 3/4" deep.

Superb chinese fluorite carving of Guanyin with a weight of 2,1 kg, made around 1750. It is Jade green in areas and almost clear in others and it shows the numerous flaws running through so stone typical of so-called green quartz (actually fluorite). It is raised on a hardwood stand, which is forming the torso of the Guanyin.

Wonderful and unusual display piece with a cubistic aesthetic - definitely singular.

Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottle with very small and intricate scenic painting with a young man and his wife holding their child, standing in a garden. The artist would have started with a plain white base, painted his design with a mixture of finely ground cobalt oxide and water, and then used a transparent glaze all over.
