Antique Chinese large porcelain jar of a famille rose glaze, with slender tapering body, tall neck, and dramatically flared rim. The body is decorated by imagery of a seaside village with various people going about their daily lives; The neck with auspicious scholar's objects on a background of medallions, various flowers in bloom, and lotus petals towards the opening of the mouth. Daoguang mark on foot.

Japanese woodblock print by well-known contemporary artist Tetsuya Noda (b. 1940), a professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts. His techniques combine woodblocks with silk screening. This print is part of his famed "Diary" series, titled "Diary : Jan. 15th '84 (1984)" in pencil. with calligraphy on the lefthand side, no. 39/40, signature in pencil with red fingerprint.

Rare antique Japanese 2-Section Mizuya (kitchen tansu) made from Keyaki wood (elm). The top section contains 2 roomy e compartments behind sliding door panels with floral motif pulls and 3 drawers along the bottom. The lowermost section holds another compartment with sliding doors, 3 small and two larger drawers along the bottom. The sides of the piece are reinforced with horizontal panels.

Large and only slightly distorted full cylinder shaped Tsutsu (hight is bigger than diameter) tea bowl with a rounded brim, made of reddish, unrefined Mino clay with clearly visible finger marks on the wall.

The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife around the regular food ring. In the style of Seto-Kuro bowls this bowl was covered with a black glaze.

Birds in white plumage decorate the shadowed raw clay of this vase by Miyagawa Kozan enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 21.5 cm (8-1/2 inches) tall, 19 cm (7-1/2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition.
