An interesting saddle bag possibly made from the hide of an ibex or mule like animal. The bag retains that rugged look used by the merchants who travelled across the Himalayas during the spring to Tibet and back bring goods from India to the Tibetan plateau. Antique Thai/Burmese Sanskrit book fragments, called a "parabaik", which were once majorly used to document societal information through text and drawings. Made from thick sheets of paper, either blackened for text or whitened for colored drawings, which were then glued and folded together. This book fragment has a central black panel, with religious Sanskrit text in gilt, and gilt pigment figures kneeling in prayer on either side...

A wonderful woman's wedding hip wrapper made of cotton with wax resist dyed decoration and gilding. The kepala is showing a peacock on a tree, the badan with two long-tailed birds among flowers. Condition: amazingly good state of the gilding, the left and right edge with some tears and few holes. The badan with a small angled tear. Maybe shortened. Dimension: c. 101.5 cm x 174 cm.

The red ground of the cloth with resist dye floral medallions and gold thread rosettes, bordered with geometric zig zag patterns These Songkets were traditionally hung from a wedding bed to announce the wealth of the family, and were also worn during religious ceremonies...

Antique framed Balinese kampuh songket, a men's ceremonial wrapper cloth, handmade with supplementary weft silk, cotton, gold and silver thread. The red ground cloth with gold and silver thread motifs of pairs of robed standing figures wielding staffs with butterflies, and fierce heads above with gaping mouths, full of sharp teeth and long tongues. The edges are bordered in zig zag patterns, geometric scrolls, and woven script in gold and silver thread...
