A Tibetan round burl root wood container. The top surface of the lid is flattened with low relief carved rings. Inside the container has been lacquered in black, the edges of the container with traces of red pigment.

Antique Tibetan carved wooden phurba, a ritualistic Vajrayana Buddhist implement, depicting Nagas or snakes on the blade. Nagas are the entities in nature that associated with illnesses. The entwining serpents are a symbol of medicine and healing. The deity handle, mirroring the three-edges of the blade has three deity faces. Typically, one might be wrathful, one peaceful and one joyful representing Body, Speech and Mind.

A very serene antique LANNA WOODEN GILDED BUDDHA SUBDUING MARA, sitting on a high stepped throne, 19th Century. Excellent condition. Size: height 19 cm x width at bottom of base 8 cm. (7 1/2" x 3 1/4"). Rare Buddha statue!

Antique Tibetan Buddhist ritualistic bone flute, or kangling. The kangling produces a wailing sound, meant to create a mystical atmosphere during tantric rituals. It is played as a gesture of fearlessness and as a way of cutting off the ego. With silver mounts intricately decorated with floral motifs and dragons, inlaid with turquoise. Spanish colonial era Philippine Santo, figure of Saint Antonio Abad, estimated to be from mid-19th century, on a base (of perhaps different vintage) 13 inches including base.

An Indonesian mask carved in the form of a male figure. The mask is carved and painted with expressive eye brows and mustache. These masks are often used in Bali and Java during religious ceremonies performing the legend of the Hindu gods.

An incredible monumental triangular architectural pediment, chua from Thailand. Carved of wood in high relief, the design is of scrolling peony vines entwining monkey figures. The anthropomorphized monkeys, dressed in clothing and with human hands, are suggestive of the Hindu deity, Hanuman. In keeping with the Hindu/Buddhist theme, makara heads emerge from the ends of the scrolling peony vines...

In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, a Naga is a semidivine being, half human and half dragon serpent. Nagas can assume either wholly human or wholly serpentine form. They live in an underground kingdom filled with beautiful palaces that are adorned with gems. Size; 90cm X 70cm. Condition: two age cracks between the head and body. Overall in very good condition.

Antique Indonesian karambit, knife with sheath, carved from Indonesian Zitan with black and brown tones, The knife handle carved as a bird head, The sheath has two lizards on one side and a frog carved on the top edge. The handle is curved with a steel blade dagger. With custom metal stand.

19th century hand carved Asian figural cheroot pipe with a Mother-of-Pearl disk inset on each side and a dark red lacquer rim. A very unusual and collectible pipe that was used "back in the day" when smoking cheroot in pipes was fashionable. Missing its stem which could have been metal or reed. Measures 3.5 inches long.
