Korean 19th Century Joseon Dynasty heavy Elm Wood Coin Chest with Black Iron mounted, Ca. 1860 to 1887, 37" Wide, 19" Deep, 14" high, heavy thick bold grain Elm Wood and Black Iron mounted plus dovetailed each front and back bottom section and also both sides, with hinged Black Iron wooden top, lift up the top to open. One Board thick Elmwood used on each side, front, back and both sides. Half moon shape black iron handles on top of the flower shape backplates on both sides.

Korean Wood Oil Lamp and White Porcelain Oil Pot and cover, Joseon Dynasty 19th Century, 19" high, 8" widest point on the bottom, Octagonal shape wooden bottom with column wrapped with ornamental Brass cover with ring in the middle section below the wooden cup, White Porcelain oil pot fitted inside the wooden cup with the cut out area for the porcelain handle. The condition is all original including porcelain oil pot with top.

Korean hanging Brown Lacquered Wooden Sword Rack, or Sword Display Shelf, vintage 1960, 26" wide, 22" high, 4 1/2" deep-bottom rack, three(3) Brass inlaid flying geese decoration on the top panel and 3 rows of the curved holders on both sides to hold each sword. A Korean lacquered box used to hold the ink stone and writing implements that were used during the Joseon Dynasty. Such a box was made by and for the common man or farmer and is a good example of Korean Folk Art. The box's lid fits over an inner tray where the ink stone and water dropper were kept. Below the tray would be stored ink sticks, paper and brushes. The box's finish is the original dark red lacquer, and the iron nails and straps are also original and hand made...

19th Century Korean Hat Box made entirely of Exotic Paulownia (Odong-namu) Wood, from the collection of a French diplomat stationed in Korea in the 1950s. Paulownia is very desirable for collectors because of its beautiful wide grain, light weight, and fire and bug-resistant qualities. The paulownia used for this rare hat box is especially fine. 9.5 x 9.5 x 8.5 (height) inches, 24 x 24 x 21.5 cm.
