A small Korean lidded burial jar from the Silla Dynasty, United Period, 8/9th Century. The jar has an overall stamped design, and shows kiln glossing over its otherwise unglazed exterior. The jar with lid measures about 4 1/2" high x 4 1/2" in diameter. The jar and lid are in very good condition, but there are a few very small chips on the lids' rims. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

A large kitchen storage jar that was made in North Korea. The Jar is an example of Korean folk art, and it has hand painted blue and green designs on a white base. There is brown staining to the exterior and interior surfaces, where the contents (probably soy sauce) bleed into the stoneware. There are two side handles for carrying. Korean Silla Kingdom (circa 6th century) unglazed reddish-gray stoneware funerary food vessel with domed cover on a high stem foot broadly flaring at the base and decorated with rectangular perforations. The lid is covered with incised designs and has a central finial. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. The piece is in very good overall condition with minor imperfections consistent with its age. I cannot be certain if the lid was originally made for this specific bowl...

A ten piece collection of Korean Silla Dynasty stoneware pottery, made during the 5th through 7th Centuries. Korean Monochrome Glazed Porcelain Bottle / Vase - Late Joseon Dynasty

This nicely-shaped bottle was made during the latter part of the Joseon (Choson) Dynasty (1392 - 1910), probably the 18th or 19th century. It is "heavily-potted" and coated both inside and out in a thick pale glaze. Around the foot ring there is a considerable amount of kiln grit embedded within the glaze, a feature often seen on ware of this type from this period...

A sublime Korean celadon bowl with a flower and scrolling vine motif imprinted on the inside of the bowl bordered with an incised line below the rim. The grey green glaze displays a dense web or craze of lines. Korean celadon wares have been favored by the Korean court and by the Japanese, who call it Korai Seiji. Korean Koryo Dynasty Celadon Stoneware Bowl with Inlaid Slip Decoration

This small stoneware bowl was made during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392). It is glazed all over in a thick and finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze. The inner surface is decorated with a central flower blossom surrounded by rings and cloud patterns inlaid in white slip (this is not so easy to photograph due to the highly reflective glaze)...

Korean Koryo Dynasty 13th/14th Century Glazed Stoneware Bottle / Jar

This attractively-shaped stoneware bottle was made during the 13th / 14th century. It has a wide round body, a short narrow neck and a cup-shaped mouth. The surface is coated in a finely-crackled olive-green glaze, the colour varying in places according to its thickness. In places where the glaze is particularly thin, it has degraded a little over time and flaked from the surface.

A refined Korean Buncheong celadon vase. Buncheong refers to the technique of incising a repeating pattern on the clay surface and white clay is filled in creating a strong contrast of greys and celadon colors with the white lines.
