A Very Fine Korean Blue Glazed Butterfly Formed Water Dropper-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century A well potted butterfly-shaped water dropper, carved and details with realistic butterfly wings and body, it is underglaze with bright cobalt blue to the surfaces, and the bottom unglazed. It is in excellent condition without any damages, it measures: 7.3 cm x 2.5 cm.

During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897), ceramics were considered to represent the highest quality of achievement from royal, city, and provincial kilns, the last of which were export-driven wares. Joseon enjoyed a long period of growth and production, which is still preserved today.

A 19th Century Korean kitchen jar for the storage of honey or syrup. The jar has a thick brown glaze, that thins at the edges of the cut facets, showing the lighter porcelain body of the jar. The Jar is heavily potted and measures about 4 1/2" high x 5" in diameter. The condition is very good with small chips on the inner rim and firing cracks at the bottom. There is no lid. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

It’s in fine condition but one horizontal hairline crack on lower body. Measurement: 30.3cm x 19.2cm d.
