Japanese Antique Raku Teabowl (Chawan) made during Mid-Edo Period (1603-1868).
Raku pottery is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremony since as early as the 16th century. The seal of the potter is stamped at the bottom. Size 2.613in. (6.7cm.) high; 4.212in. (10.8cm.) diameter; 230g weight. Condition Good considering the age. There is a chip at the rim. Please see the photos for details. No cracks.
