Perfect Shino Natsu tea bowl (Summer tea bowl) made by one of the most popular Japanese actors and artists, Kazuo Hayashi. He was born in 1945 and is affiliated with Theater Echo. He is also skilled in Buyō and pottery. Ceramics of him are rarely available.

It is in mint condition and comes with the originally signed and sealed wooden box of the artist.

Bizen ware Sake set of Tokkuri and Guinomi made by Bizen master Joji Yamashita (b. 1947) The mark of the artist is carved on the base.

Joji Yamashita was born in Tokyo in 1947. He moved to Canada in 1967 where he graduated from Vancouver Art School.
After returning to Japan in 1970, he studied Bizen ware under Isezaki Jun and established his own kiln in 1978...

This rare little gem is made by Morihiro Hosokawa (b. 1938) who served as the prime minister of Japan from 1993 to 1994.

He is also the head of the Kumamoto-Hosokawa clan, one of the noble families of Japan...

There is an understated elegance in the work of Saito Hiroyuki which is very difficult to describe, but blatantly apparent the moment one holds his work. This guinomi is expertly crafted, rough textured outside with a smooth rim leading to the dark inner “Ma” (emptiness), ready to be filled.
