As for the design of the rabbit that flies between waves, the design like auspicious. There is slightly a stain. There is no damage. The state is very good. This is shirushi hanten jacket of very rare indigo dye cotton in Edo period.It can be worn. It is shirushi hanten of the buddhist temple in Kyoto. The motif of the back and the chest is very impressive. There is a little stain. There is one pinhole. However, it doesn't stand out. The state is very good in thick cotton. Warm touch of the indigo dye cotton in Edo period is wonderful. I must feel it for the hand...

There are some stains, and a part of the embroidery thread is peeled off. There is a small hole. But they don't stand out. Recommended for your antique textile collection. Asa (hemp) noragi (work wear) with fine kasuri pattern which is katazome (stecil-resist-dye) and vegetable indigo dye. Both weft and warp are hand-plied. This kind of thick hemp textiles are found in Tohoku district. Generally in good condition but has some mending patches and stitches and wear in shoulder lines. Late 19th to early 20th century. This is a Japanese antique Boro Tattered Material a rare and hand-spun natural Shina-fu Linden fabric with dark brown. It is an rare old meiji period (1868-1911)fabric. It is a thick and rough. Shina-fu Linden is a deciduous tree native to northern temperate regions. Elm and linden cloth naturally turn darker brown as time passes, due to the tannin content in these tree fibers. There is dirt and repair marks. The rag that has been used many times and discolored is an art in itself...
