This one is "Sakai-sarasa", made in Sakai in Osaka. The second half of the 19th century. In excellent condition. W:34cm, L:120cm

This is a Japanese antique sakiori-obi cotton & silk textile.It is in very good condition with no stains or damage. There is a slight folding mark, but it is not a problem.Size::Length 356cm / Width 26.5cm

A daimyo’s firefighting wool jacket with a Kiri-no-mon crest, chest protector baring the same crest. It has a silk liner decorated with old marble dye. Dated from late Edo period (1603-1868),

Japanese could not produce wool of their own during the Edo period. Totally depending on Nanban trading, wool was pretty rare and pricey commodity. The liner for this jacket is also unusual. This is our first and only antique marble dyed fabric ever...

Daimyo hikeshi shozoku: Samurai firefighter's wool jacket with a silk velvet collar; the crest and design are couched with gold leaf thread (wrapped around silk thread), chest protector and belt. Excellent, clean condition with some holes and damages in velvet collar. Late Edo period (1603-1868), 50" wide x 39" long, Chest protector, 25 1/4" long.

This is rinzu silk fukusa textile in Edo period(1603-1867). It is an elegant design with good history of the bamboo and bamboo shoots. All embroideries are the hands. There is no stain. There is one very little small hole. However, it is very good. I recommend it for your collection. size:47cm x 48cm (18.5" x 18.9")

This is Edo yosegire Patchwork itajime katazome chirimen-silk kimono in Edo period(1603-1868). This is very beautiful yosegire kimono. In the skirt part of the lining, it is cotton and there is damage. There is a little, thin stain. However, it is not remarkable. This is Indigo dye cotton tsutsugaki furoshiki textile of the Edo era(1800-1867). It is a very beautiful crane and a lucky design of the tortoises.It is a characteristic of tsutsugaki of the Edo era that the ear of the tortoise is expressed like a dragon. There is a thin stain. There is not damage. It is in a very good state. It is made of hand-spun cotton and natural dyed. size:141cm x 142cm (55.5" x 55.9")

This is itajime(katazome) chirimen-silk and hira-silk hanjyuban textile of the Edo era(1800-1867). It is the auspicious motif of this lobster, sea bream, tortoise, auspicious decoration for gifts, pine, bamboo, plum. It has few stains. There is not damage. size:75cm x 128cm (29.5" x 50.4")

This is nanako-weave (regular mat weane)silk katsugi kimono very rare of the Edo era(1800-1867). katsugi kimono of nanako- texture silk is very rare. It draw it by hand and dye . It is very impressive, and it is beautiful. It has the change of a slight color. However, it does not stand out. it is in very good condition. size:131cm x 116cm (51.6" x 45.7")

This is Indigo dye cotton dotyugi coat of the Edo era(1800-1868). It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. It is katazome, and, as for the lining, the motif of the plover is very beautiful. It has a few thin stains. However, as a whole it is in very good condition. size:111cm x 126cm (43.7" x 49.6")

This is Japanese Edo era Beautiful silk of the patchwork yosegire beni-itajime jyuban. It is comprised of four kinds of itajime-dye and eight kinds of katazome-dye and Safflower dyeing . It is all silk of the Edo era. It has a slight damage to a sleeve and a collar. However, it is in a state very good generally. I recommend it to you collection. size:145cm x 123cm (57.1" x 48.4")
