This sake bottle is a very rare piece among Sugimoto's works. Ordinary, shigaraki pieces are fired in the anagama fire woods kiln, however this pieces is carved and colored with pigment, And fired in the kiln with charcoal. The pattern is called "shikishi kasane" a pair of square piece of fancy papers. It's a happy theme. The white grains are feldspar included in shigaraki clay. Special price.
