Japanese Brass signed Hibachi Ash Rake and Pr. Chopsticks for moving Charcoal, 1930's, Ash Rake(8" long,3" wide bottom), Chopsticks(10 1/2" long, 3/8" wide handle top)etched signature on the handle of Brass Ash Rake, used for Tea Ceremony, some wears on the bottom of the Rake.

Japanese Military Solder's Canteen, early 1900's, 7" high, 3 1/2" wide, 3" deep, with embossed pewter like surface with curved Brass Hook in the back and top use as a cup which attached with rope. All original condition with wooden cap and other brass pipe for air.

Scarce vintage tiny antimony ornament of a pack-horse man decorating (or assisting) the landscape of Bonsai, called ‘Tenpai’, Showa period, 20th century, Japan...

A bronze mirror, wakyo, decorated with a classic Autumn pattern that evolved in the Heian period which features a pair of birds, sparrows, water weeds, ashi, water, and a wave washed sandy beach, suhama. The design is cut by a single ring. The design of the inverted pistil boss and the density of the design, horror vacui, dates the mirror to the late Kamakura period 1275-1325. A great deal of the detail has been lost as a result of wear and over polishing...

Bronze Japanese usubata, made for flower arrangements or ikebana. It sits on three legs, has two handles with pointed edges, etchings of a farm house with a waterwheel and mountains in the background are on its front. Its large top portion is removeable. Showa period (1926-1989) Size: 10" height, 11.75" width

A small Japanese suiban made of bronze, to fill with small viewing stones, pebbles, or sand. Swimming ducks and irises decorate the sides, and the handles are elephant heads. Size: 2.25" height, 6.25" length

Japanese Bronze Hibachi with inlaid silver and Copper, design of Shrine above the large rock next to sailing boat in the lake and pine trees, 9 1/2" three(3) needle size of pin holes on the bottom and open crack on the back side-see photos.

Very nice 2 Japanese Gilded and Lacquered on Brass Fusuma Sliding Door Handles, early 1900's, 3 1/4" diameter, 1/2" deep, impressed vines design on rounded soft brown Lacquered Brass front with gilded Brass rims, 2 nail holes on the sides, the condition is good, probably used in very elegant and important home in Japan.

Japanese Edo to Meiji period bronze mirror (kagami) with handle, decorated in relief with palm leaves and flowers. Inscribed with the Fujiwara Shigeyoshi maker’s mark. Measures 8 1/8” long x 5 3/4" diameter. 19th century. Very good overall condition. There is a tiny nick at the bottom of the handle. From the Sahuarita, Arizona collection of former expatriates to Okinawa in the 1970s. Stand not included.

Lobed pewter bowl with an etched scenery of a rocky seascape, Mount Fuji in the background. The surface matted, silvery. Meiji period, c 1900, seal mark to the base. Diameter "6 ¼ / 16 cm. Condition: a black spot to the exterior removed by polishing (cf. pics).

This pair of Japanese handmade long square cut nails are 5" long and appear to have never been used. The nail heads are solid and shaped into a hemisphere. The silver colored decorative metal escutcheons have scalloped edges and markings to represent a flower. The escutcheons are just under 1" in diameter and have a squared center hole which exactly fits the nail shank.

A high quality crisply cast Japanese mirror. The reverse of the mirror decorated in high relief with a conventionalised representation of the utopian Isle of the Immortals typical of the Edo period integrating into the design the auspicious Takasago twin branched pine tree with a pair of flying cranes and a Minogame in the left hand corner. All set against a crisp granular ground. Probably late Edo period, or possibly slightly earlier...

Kohai, a halo made of metal (copper). Very little bit of gold plate is left. 19th century. L:38.5cm, W:13cm

Cute miniature bronze figurine of an oriental dragon, kneeling its front legs and biting its own tail. Very nicely detailed from the fins along its back to the pupils in its eyes. Edo period (1615-1867) Size: 1" height, 1.5" length

A Japanese handled mirror, e-kagami, cast with a Hoo bird in flight, a symbol or harbinger of peace, and a Kiri tree to its right, auspicious symbols associated with the Empress of Japan, Kiri ni Hoo. Beneath which is pine tree set upon a rocky shoreline washed by seigaiha; a wave pattern symbolizing eternal peace and happiness. The design overall connoting a wish for Peace and Harmony.
