Antique Japanese shinto shrine mirror. The mirror has a central motif of a turtle meeting the beaks of two cranes. Three baby cranes and a small turtle walk along the beach. The three auspicious symbols of pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms invoke the island of longevity, horaisan. There is an inscription to ward off calamities. This mirror would have been placed on a wooden stand at the entrance to a shinto shrine for the visitor to see their reflection as they entered. Edo period, (c1800)...

Antique Japanese bronze tray with shell feet, Taisho period 1912-1926. It is incised with a repeating stylized wave pattern and adorned with shells and other marine creatures. Used to create beautiful small garden scenes. It is supported by shell shaped feet. It is irregularly shaped. It measures 1.25" deep 14.5" wide, 6.75" long 2.25" tall with feet.

Antique Japanese bronze hibachi, or brazier, with silver inlay geometric scroll motifs along its outer edges, wide rim with pair of handles, four stout legs, affixed to hardwood base. Natural patina from oxidation over time. Side is incised with artist's signature.

A beautiful bronze paper weight in the form of a dog/lion. It is a very detailed casting in solid bronze with a deep brown patina. The shishi measures about 4" high x 6 3/4" long, it weighs 43 ounces, and it dates to the 19th Century. The condition is excellent with some casting flaws. Antique Japanese bronze suiban with raised designs of dragons on the front and back. Swirling mist motifs decorate the sides of the suiban and continue on the four feet it stands on. A key motif runs along the edge of the rectangular container. Four character mark on the bottom.
