An unusually small and rare antique Japanese Cha Tansu (tea chest) made of Kuwa (Mulberry) and Kuri (Chestnut) woods. All original bronze hardware. Two sliding doors behind which tea accessories were stored. A lift-out door behind which housed a tea canister of dried tea leaves ready for brewing. With four drawers of varying sizes to store additional tea accoutrements.

Made with hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood framing and beautifully grained keyaki (zelkova elm) wood panels on the drawers and sliders. Antique Japanese large single section mizuya (kitchen chest) with 8 wide drawers. Made with all fine-grain hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood on the front and frame. Each drawer has iron corner brackets, hirute shaped drawer pulls and square lock plates.

Antique Japanese todana tansu (storage chest). Large sliding panels with wide horizontal slats open to a series of interior drawers: four drawers on the right (two large and two small) and three large drawers on the left. The front and frame of the tansu is made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood with kiri (paulownia) wood drawers. Iron hardware includes hirute shaped drawer pulls.

A unique custom made antique Japanese winter door coffee table on iron stand with built-in brazier-style display area. Iron stand was designed using faux arts and crafts style through mortise and tenon joinery. Door was made using framework of Hinoki (Cypress) with two solid Akita Sugi (Akita Cryptomeria) panels.

A beautiful set of 6 Antique JAPANESE SIGNED Wooden Stack Boxes that fit perfectly into one another! They show the exquisite natural lines of the wood and were finished with transparent lacquer varnish. Nice color of the wood, like mahagony. Overall in good condition, with very minor inconsequential small marks of age/use. Size: A total of 6 boxes, the largest: length 15" x depth 12 1/2" x height 5". All original hand forged iron hardware with each pull ring decorated with a Chrysanthemum back plate. Some of the drawers still retain label remnants of the contents that it held. Constructed using hardened wooden nails and straight dovetail joinery. Consisting of 35 drawers.

An antique Gyosho Tansu (peddler's chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware. Top of chest has a recessed table top where the peddler displayed and demonstrated his wares for sale. Upper hinged door houses 5 drawers where wares were stored and record keeping supplies were kept. Bottom hinged door covers 3 drawers for additional wares.
