Lovely little Inaba white cloisonne box with a silver finish. The lid features flowers in a rocky garden setting and inside the box is engraved with flowers. Marked with Inaba logo on base bottom, it is also maked inside with the logo and the words "Made in Japan". In excellent condition, it measures 3.5 by 3 inches, and 1.5" high. Dates mid 20th C.

Japanese Meiji period barrel form cloisonne enamel vase with three panels decorated in butterflies, flowers, and birds set against a powder blue ground. The cartouches are placed against a brown background covered in dense abstract and floral patterns. There is green counter enamel on the base and interior. Circa 1880s. 7 1/8" high x about 4 1/2" wide. The barrel form suggests it is possibly an early Namikawa piece. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...

A good, small Japanese cloisonne vase. The alternating dragon and phoenix chevron panels symbolize harmony and balance. Lots of engaging, balanced color. Sparkling goldstone embellishment technique demonstrated in backgrounds below the shoulder and in decorative details around the waisted neck. Japanese cloisonné bottle form lidded vase on a Satsuma earthenware substrate with "kidney bean" cloisons, signed in orange-red on the base "Kinkozan." The body of the vase is decorated with opposing blue flower filled cartouches with white borders set against a black background permeated with flowers. A blue band with red and white flowers and diamond forms encircles the neck. The lid is decorated with a single flower. Meiji period (circa 1870s). 8” high. Very good overall condition...

One of the most uniquely designed cloisonne round boxes that I ever came across; this is so well done and is absolutely gorgeous, it is very well designed and intricate in the smallest details, the patina is a very lovely chocolate brown patina that is unretouched. Cloisonné enamel charger or large dish with flowers and a flying bird against a mustard yellow ground, the back with a swirl pattern. Late Meiji or early Taisho, c 1900. Diameter "12/ 30.3 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.7 cm. Condition: a damage to the backside enameling (c f last photo). Interestingly, it shows the kind of marker used to indicate the design where the cloisonné metal straps were to be soldered onto the base.
