Zentner Collection
Sold Antique Indian bronze figure the Goddess Durga, she is seated with her lion mount depicted very small by her right leg, she wears a tall crown, her forehead is burnished from reverent touch over the years, her attributes which she hold in four hands include a sword and a club, she sits on a square base with an ornate nimbus of makara heads and naga canopy, Southern India, 19th century.
Size: 10 1/2" high x 5 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" deep.

$475.00 A small size antique bronze Hindu deity possibly depicting the deity, Bhodevi or Sridevi. The deity is holding a lotus bud like flower and is dressed in the traditional manner as many of the Hindu deities are seen. 19th-20th century. Size: length 1.75" width 1.5" height 5.5"
The detacheable central Tirthankara surrounded by other Tirthankaras, two elephants holding his princely parasol, his throne supported by two lions. On the back there is a lengthy inscription, holding the date 1674 in Samvat, which is 1617 in the Western calendar. The shrine is inlaid all over with silver. H. 28 cm, W. 19 cm. Condition: some old damage and an old repair to the thinly cast back of the stand. Otherwise in wonderful original condition.

SOLD Antique bronze Krishna in the pose of playing a flute. Krishna charmingly lets his head fall to one side as he plays a flute or other wind instrument. His head is topped with a stuppa like head covering. He wears very light weight garments. Obtained from Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 20th century. It measures 9.25" tall base 3.5" diameter
In the centre a sculpture of one of the 24 Tirthankaras. The back plate decorated with small sittimg Tirthankaras and attendants. Made in Karnataka or Maharashtra in the 17th or 18th century. Dimensions: 28x17x8,5 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.

Sold to the UK This is a very rare image of baby krishna. He is usually depicted crawling, but this posture where he's trying to put his foot in his mouth is rarely seen. The figure was cast in Gangna-Jumna (two metals) technique. Made in Orissa in the 18th century. Good wear and lovely patina. L. 7 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.

Sold to the USA Rare and large bronze shrine. The central figure is a Jina or Tirthankara. He is surrounded by small Jina's on the back plate.
Each of the 24 Tirthankaras is represented by an animal or a symbol. There is an engraved animal on the foot of this shrine, but it is hard to distinguish which animal it is. The shrine is in an excellent condition, all three parts belong together, there are no repairs. It has a clean appearance due to the daily worshipping and washing tradition in Jainism...

Price on Request Indian statue of a jain buddha seated in meditation with hands and feet crossed carved out of white marble. The base has a weathered donatory inscription with a horned bull or possibly a rhino in the middle. If a rhinocerous, the statue would be of Mahavira in the 11th reincarnation. Traces of red pigment. The nose was broken during the muslim invasions of India sometime between the 13th and 16th centuries. From the Mt. Abu region, 15th-16th century. It measures 13"deep, 26" wide 30" tall.
A very fine and detailed piece inlaid with silver and copper. In the center a sitting Tirthankara. Beautiful wear and patina due to centuries of worshipping. H. 13 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.
From Maharashtra or Karnataka. H. 14 cm. The 23rd Tirthankara is symbolized by the cobra, which is modeled on the back of the figure.
