A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. Quirky strands of bronze beads and Kushan charm in the shape of a Hindu Trishula (trident). I acquired these with a group of Kanishka coins that were found in the same place, circa 100CE. Large strand 25cm/9.8in and small strand 9.5cm/3.8in (the holes were too small to fit on the same cord as the larger one). Weight total: 40 grams. This sculpture includes an inscription on the reverse and is dated to "1427 Samvat," a date that places the sculpture in the 15th century. The piece has sustained a loss to the "edging" along the top (viewer's) right,as well as a loss adjacent to the "canopy," visible in the photograph. The casting quality is, in my opinion, outstanding,completely consistent with the early Jain classical style of sculpture. The piece has a beautiful, warm brown patina. It measures 6-1/4" in height.

Ancient Indian Jain religious shrine, the central Jina surrounded by multiple celestial nymphs with two elephants at the top on either side of the canopy. This brass with inlaid silver sculpture has ancient Devanagari script over the entire back. The Jinas eyes and central chest are silver inlaid. Rubbed and some losses.

This is a very finely cast Tibetan bronze fragment dating to the 17th century or possibly earlier. It depicts a wrathful deity, possibly Vajrabhairava, complete with finely modeled skull crown/tiara to the wrathful head. A globular shaped Indian waterpipe base made of zinc alloy, the body decorated with vegetal motifs, inlaid in silver and brass. Condition: inlay losses, bottom with old repair. Dimension: 16.8 cm high, weight: 1160 g.

This Mughal piece was made of a zinc alloy inlaid with flower patterns of silver and brass. A similar huqqa base in the book "Bidri Ware, inlaid metalwork from India" by Susan Stronge is dated in the first half of the 18th century. H. 18 cm. Diameter 16 cm. Very good condition with the inlay intact.

This is a remarkable antique Huqqa crafted in the 18th century in India during the Mughal Islamic period. The Huqqa takes the shape of a bell and is made of brass covered with sheet silver. Pendant of rectangular shape ending in a triangle on its top, with a loop for possible attachment to a necklace. The pendant is decorated with an embossed design of tribal style representing Hindu god Virabhadra standing with his four arms and weapons/attributes, and surrounded by a dotted aureola. Nicely cast ritual spoon, with a highly detailed statue on its top representing Hindu god Krishna standing on a stylised lotus and playing his flute, with a cow behind him. The spoon itself is decorated with two birds on its sides and a geometric design at its back. Copper with nice green patina. India, early 19th century. Height: 14.8 cm.
