Large Chinese Ming dynasty wide-mouthed globular form guan jar with short, vertical collar-like neck and wide angled mouth covered overall in a dark brown/black crackled glaze that coats the interior and ends at the base. A thread relief moulded band of scrolling foliage decorates the upper section of the jar. A narrow floral band is above it. Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a central roundel painted in the ‘Master of the Rocks’ style with a figure in a landscape scene with mountains in the background and traditional buildings at the right side. The back wall is decorated with four foliage sprays. Eight petal Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) foliate form bronze mirror with central pierced knob and four relief characters reading “long life, riches, and honor” (chang ming fu gui). 7 1/4” diameter. Good condition overall with typical wear and extensive patina. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

A wonderful pair of larger Chinese pottery figure of two male attendants. The figures date to Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.

The two figures are dressed in robes, glazed in Green and Yellow Sancai colors. They are placed on plints, and each hold a book in front of the chest.

Both wear hats and have nice facial features and details made with fragile pigment colors of which some still remains.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Groom Figure (AD 618 - 906)

This attractive pottery figure was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906) and most likely represents a groom. It is made from a red pottery and joins at the sides show it was made in a two-piece mould. The surface has been cold-painted in a white pigment with the facial details picked out in red and black pigments. The figures stands in attendance with hands clasped together under long sleeves...

Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Dates mid 20th C, late Republic/early People's Republic of China.
