Palmrose Asian Antiques
$125.00 A Chinese porcelain, scalloped edge, leaf shaped dish that was part of Canton pattern dinner set, exported from China to America, during the late 19th Century. The Canton pattern can be easily recognized as it shows a bridge with no man, and has a cloud border. The dish measures about 8" long x 6" wide, and 1 1/4" tall. The condition is very good with a couple very small frets and a chip on the foot rim. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.
Finely embossed and engraved with a boy riding a Qilin (fertility symbol), surrounded by Buddhist symbols. Dimensions: 11 x 8 cm. Three holes at the bottom where chains with bells were once attached. See Margareth Duda - Four Centuries of Chinese Silver, for comparable lock pendants.
Height approximately 41.5 cm. In good condition. More pictures/descriptions are available.

$5,750.00 A Chinese robin's egg ceramic brush washer, with a rounded body tapering to the flat, unglazed foot, the round wide opening shows the interior is all glazed in robin's egg glaze. The sides are in the classic mottled turquoise and purple glaze with stipple texture from the time of firing.
The robin's egg glaze technique requires low-firing and uses two different colors of mottled purple-blue and turquoise. Period 18th centnury.

**SOLD** through our Liverpool shop April 2018 A moulded porcelain chrysanthemum shaped bowl decorated on the outside in blue and white enamels with stylized scrolling lotus flowers and bats 'Fu' (good luck). Incorporated within this pattern are three overglaze red and gold 'Shou' (long life) characters. The base carries the iron red reign mark of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850). This item was made in China, in the mid 19th Century, for export to the Malaysian "Straits" Chinese community...

$1,600.00 A Chinese gourd shaped water dropper in the form of a tiny tea pot with a hinged lid, cast with motifs of scrolling vines in low relief, with a long, prominent spout, with tripod feet. The base is imprinted with a foliate motif. With original patina.
Dimensions: 3" x 2" x 3 1/2" H The front of the pendant is decorated with 3 figures in a garden, one holding a fan and one holding a parasol. The text on the back of these pendants is usually about protection and good fortune for the wearer.
Dimensions: 7 x 5,5 cm, length of the chain 53 cm. Weight 68 gr.
There are holes on 3 sides of the pendant. There is a hallmark on the top side.
Provenance: Dutch private collection.
The acid test shows a silver content of ca. 90 %.

$3,000.00 Antique Chinese pair of porcelain hat stands, glazed with a light orange ground, enamel motifs of various flowers including peony, chrysanthemum, birds, insects, gourd bottles, and other auspicious objects. Each stand is of a hexagonal form with pierced melon shaped areas. The feet are slightly recessed with white underglaze and buff edges.
Dimensions: 4 1/2" X 11 1/4" H This type of necklace with a pendant in the shape of a lock was given to Chinese children, so they would be ‘locked’ to life.
