This is a 19th century made bottle of a thick Bulbous rectangular form with rounded edges, thick straight neck, wide lips and mouth, and recessed oval footing. The well-hollowed bottle has been made in imitation of Realgar, with its mottled shades of red and orange in erratic nebulous forms. Its form was commonly used in the 19th century, and its illustrated in the 'Collector's Bood of Snuff Bottles', item #165, page 65. It comes with a blue aventurine stopper with metal collar...

This is a rare example of a Puddingstone, not only because of its form, but also, because of the color, shape, and texture of the particles that make up the stone.

A bottle of similar form may be found in Steven's 'The Collector's book of Snuff Bottles" #618, minus the mask handles, which he dates to late 18th, early 19th centuries...

A heavy 19th Century lotus shaped porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting a dignatory and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Antique Chinese solid Huanghuali (hardwood) scroll table, see with its conserved original warm tone finish. Beautiful dramatic sweeping grain with single huanghuali slab top. Joints look to be all original and in great shape. The hand carving is well done with small details showing.

Famille rose was introduced during the reign of Kangxi (1654–1722), possibly around 1720. It used mainly pinks or purple and remained popular throughout the 18th and the 19th centuries. This Famille rose enamel vase dates from the 19th century and has a greater range of color and tones than was previously possible on early pieces, enabling the depiction of more complex images, including flowers, fu-dog, mythical creatures, insects, and assorted scholar objects...

A heavy six-sided porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting ladies and boys in a garden landscape.
