$185.00 A beautiful Chinese lacquer box, with an apocryphal Qianlong gold tone metal plate on the underside. This unique box has China painted on the inside which indicates about an 1890 date when the McKinley act was introduced. The box measures 5 3/4" x 4" x 2" and is very dense and heavy for its size. It is a charming and inexpensive example for your existing lacquer collection.

$185.00 This is a very rare round hole coin known as a Yuan, as identified by the single character on the right. Yuan was a city in the state of Liang in ancient China. This coin has not been acid treated nor artificially aged, it is well worn and has the verdigris that is natural and impossible to scrape off by conventional means. These range in size and weight from 41.2 to 43 mm, and range 8.8 to 10.7 grams). Condition is fine. Date: about 300 B.C.E. Warring states period...

$185.00 Early 20th century Chinese hand made moss green pottery storage jar featuring an unusual cut out in the lid for easy lifting. The jar interior is glazed dark brown with the rim having a clear glaze. The green glaze is thick and rich. The lid has 3 small chips on the exterior unglazed part of the rim that can be studied in the photos, otherwise in excellent condition. This is a very special jar measuring 6 inches, 7 inches diameter.

SOLD Large old Chinese rosewood stand on 5 small feet. Well constructed, it is very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. There appears to be a repair on the inner bottom, but when we tried to move the piece in question, it would not budge. Therefore there are absolutely no condition issues with this stand. Measures 3.25" (8.9 cm) high, and about 8.5" (21.6 cm) diameter (see 2nd photo).

**Sold** through our Liverpool shop** A rare carved bone abacus with integral reverse glass painting depicting four boys, in a garden setting, peering into a large fish bowl.
There is an added inscritpion carved into one side recording that this item was given as a gift in Hong Kong in 1953.
Condition; very good - no damages or losses.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - August 2018 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2018年8月 A rare pair of carved wooden figures made in China during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). For comparison of costume and facial features we have photographed them alongside a Ming Dynasty Fahua glazed soldier.
Condition: there are extensive losses and most of their original gilding has worn away.

Finely embossed and engraved with a boy riding a Qilin (fertility symbol), surrounded by Buddhist symbols. Dimensions: 11 x 8 cm. Three holes at the bottom where chains with bells were once attached. See Margareth Duda - Four Centuries of Chinese Silver, for comparable lock pendants.
