A rare and very old neolithic pottery jar from the Qijia culture from Gansu Province, China, 2050 - 1200 BC. Being corded, when the clay was wet, fabric was applied making pattern. When it was fired, the fabric would burn off, leaving the design. In excellent condition, no restoration or repairs, it measures 6.5" high.

Chinese silk coat in a deep navy blue. Its edges are lined with blue-grey panels with silver thread designs. The mandarin collar has embroidered silk flowers in pastels, with forbidden stitching in the center. There are multiple silk roundels featuring cranes gazing upwards, surrounded by reeds and flowers. Description:

A pair of Jianyang hare-furs tea bowls was well mold in fine shape.
In evert mouth rim, the bowls were stand by circular foot rings.
Characteristic abrasion was found at the foot ring where the body clay was covered with burial adhesives.
Incursions were also found on the mouth rim.
They were in lovely sizes- very hard to find on the market, but ideally for tea ceremony.

Date: Southern Song dynasty, 1127-1279...

Chinese landscape painting of a mountain pavilion nestled in among twisting pines, a river winds it's way through the rocks creating two waterfalls - one in the upper left of the composition and the other in the lower right below the pavilion, all done black ink on paper, signed Zhao Tsungwu, early to mid 20th century. The cover is delicately and minutely engraved with a scene of figures at leisure in a pavilion surrounding a vacant shield. The sides bear panels of very finely worked flowers with geometric borders. Chinese yellow soapstone scholar's seal. The stone is carved with scenes of sages and their attendant with landscape ground of mountains, pine trees, and bamboo. The reverse is also carved with a man seated at the edge of water, his finger pointing towards the mountains where a temple roof is partially unobscured. The seal on the base of the soapstone reads "a virtue should be praised".

Song Dynasty Jun ware brush shaper or brushwasher. This was originally the base of flower vase which was later reworked into a scholar’s object. The brown clay indicates this was fired in Henan and in my opinion is representative of the kind that was acquired for the Imperial Qing collection rather then the more typical bowls and saucers. The top surface has more discoloration and minor scratches which indicates, that the repurposing was done some time ago...

A pair of Chinese porcelain bowls decorated with iron-red enamel depicting two dragons chasing a fire ball. Four characters studio mark "Fu You Tang Zhi" inside the foot rims. 19th century. Condition: One bowl is in perfect condition; the other has a chip on foot rim, and four very fade hairlines on the rim, the longest one is about one inch, there might be small chips accompanying the hairline and now be professionally restored. These flaws can only be seen under strong light...
