A unique piece of zitan wood used as a sample for the scholar's woodworker. This piece is unusual as it shows a very light color of the zitan wood which is probably close to the bark area. There are two holes drilled in the piece for attaching a string for hanging. This piece weighs 550 grams. This is a great item for the zitan collector. Size: L.17.3cm. W.10.3cm. H.2.4cm. A fine Chinese late 19th century ivory card case featuring an intricately carved garden setting with figures and pavilions on a pierced background. Lovely Qing Dynasty amber colored agate ovoid form snuff bottle, with an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat base, with mask handles on each side. An exclusive large belt buckle made from a silver alloy bordered by two elephants. The center mounted with a pierced jade medaillon showing a bird by two bolts ending in a flower, surrounded by four lion heads, turquoise and coral or carnelian cabochons. A good white glazed ewer, decorated with a pair of ring handles to the shoulder. Condition is very good, no any crack, no any chip and free from any restoration, excepted minor kiln materials adhere to a side. Possibly Yuan/Early Ming period. Height: 14,7 cm.

DESCRIPTION: A fierce pair of Chinese pottery foo dogs, early Qing, 18th/19th C., covered with a heavy green glaze and seated on pedestals. Each bares its teeth ferociously while holding a ball between their front paws as well as in their mouths. Good detail with finely ribbed backs and curled manes. Very good condition. DIMENSIONS: Each approximately 9 ½” high (24 cm) x 5” wide (12.7 cm).

A set of 2 Antique QING DYNASTY Chinese hand carved CRYSTAL SCULPTURES, 19th Century. One has 2 dangling rings, 1 on each side, as well as a beautiful FOO DOG on top.
