Chinese Qing dynasty horizontal silk kesi panel decorated on opposing sides with warriors on horseback preparing to attack the figures at the center shown inside the city wall in a scene from the historic novel “Romance of the Three Kingdoms (San Guo Yan Yi).” Circa 1900. 47” x 18 1/2." Generally good overall condition with some splits/separations evident and typical signs of age. Phoenix, Arizona collection.

Total dimensions: 55x43cm. Embroidered panel alone: 37x24cm
Heart-shaped purse embroidered on both sides in counted stitch with bats in gold thread among clouds. Burgundy colored drawstring and tassels with silver and gold threads, paper lining. Condition: fabric of the aperture somewhat brittle. Dimension: 9.5 cm x 8.5 cm x c. 1.5 cm.

SOLD A Chinese woven silk woven tapestry of children at play with inscription and seal marks. The tapestry was mounted on a paper scroll and bordered with silk brocade. Scroll bars are missing. You may want to to consider framing or remounting the tapestry. The tapestry is in excellent condition, detailing is also excellent. Tapestry only measures 22" x 11". Dates 1930's.

Fine old, three paneled, supplementary weft embroidered wedding blanket from the Zhuang ethnic group Guizhou Province China. Handspun and handwoven cotton thread foundation and silk for the embroidery. The central area is dominated by the “well” “#” pattern, while the border is a combination of the “well” pattern inside a “wanzi” swastika meander. There are few small faded areas but no holes or tears. W: 104cm/40in and L: 140cm/56in.

$375.00 This baby carrier panel is a lovely old piece. Embroidered with a very intricate flowing pattern using silk floss and wrapped thread and satin stitch techniques. This piece is bordered with hand-loomed fabric. The back of the piece has recently been replaced. Condition is good 19" x 21.5
Chinese late Qing dynasty red silk temple hanging or altar frontispiece embroidered in metallic-couched and polychrome silk threads. The lower section features a stand holding a variety of vessels. A pair of bats and a pair of butterflies fly around a censer at the left that is emitting fumes. At the center of the stand, a central vase is filled with blossoming flowers while a vessel behind it contains fruit. A vessel at the right holds a variety of objects...
A pair of tiny shoes for a Han Chinese lady with bound feet, dating to the late Qing dynasty. Made of silk, the lower part embroidered with flowers in satin stitch, the upper part with brocaded silk ribbons. Cotton lining and soles. Condition: fine, only little wear. Dimension: total length: c. 13.5 cm, height: c. 11.8 cm.

$350.00 Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in
good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.
A pair of shoes with leather sole for a Manchurian lady. The cream colored silk embroidered and appliqued with black silk. Blue cotton lining. The toecap bolstered with leather. Condition: little patina. Dimension: 24.5 cm long.
A late Qing ladies skirt in a striking color combination with two marvellous embroidered panels with butterflies and flowers. H. 100 cm, W. 110 cm. Age wear two the black borders and wear and stains on the inside of the skirt. The purple silk and the embroidery is in perfect condition.

$350.00 Near perfect pair of fuschia colored silk Chinese lotus shoes for bound feet. Each shoe is embroidered with delicate gold couching and a silk satin stitched butterfly. In excellent condition they have been packed and stored in a box for the past century. Color is vibrant having not been exposed to sunlight.
