Antique Chinese carved Jade signature seal. Rectangular cong form carved of jade-green stone with orange striations and black flecks. Intricately carved on all sides. One side, a sage or scholar with long staff. On another side, a flower vase on a stand with a bird on a branch. Another side is carved with a blossoming branch. And one side has a design of a bat.

A thick-walled censer, shaped like an urn with “Heaven soaring” handles, standing on a three legged base. Both censer and base have been polished in the past but are now achieving a decent patina. The censer fits the base perfectly. The base has an interesting mark. 19th century.

Antique Chinese large bitong or brush pot carved of one piece of huanghuali wood and inlaid with a scene of birds on a blossoming branch and a poem. Inlaid materials include bone, stone, lacquer and shell. The poem translates as: "Birds flying in a line, the tree is blooming, the blooming flower is falling to the ground, the spring mountain, one group of birds fly over the valley, sound makes a lonely sound"...

Antique Chinese ovoid form ink stone carved of green serpentine and inscribed with calligraphy on one side and archaic script on the reverse. The text on the front of the ink stone references a quote from the Analects of Confucius:
子曰：“不患人之不己知，患不知人也。 Which translates as Xue Er: The Master said, "I will not be afflicted at men's not knowing me; I will be afflicted that I do not know men." There is a key difference however in the middle of the phrase...

Antique Chinese brush rest made of black glazed porcelain in the form of a lingbi scholar rock. Sculpted and drilled with holes and windows like a miniature version of the prized lingbi stone. This brush rest has five peaks, creating four areas in which to lay one's brush when it's not in use. Fitted with a carved hardwood base. The flat underside is carved with a six character Qianlong mark.

This plaque must have been part of a scholar's screen. It is carved in a Duan stone of 2 layers of different colors. An ochre layer and a brown layer. The brown layer is carved in depth until the ochre layer appears. The decoration is thus cut in brown on an ochre background.Qing period 19° century or earlier. On the reverse side we can see the traces of the tool which should give indications for a more precise dating. Accident, broken and glued again. 206 x 302 x 8 mm

Tibetan thangka densely painted in gouache on cloth with a scene featuring the seven-tiered dark blue Mahottara Heruka, the wrathful form of the Buddha and principle wrathful diety of the bardo, depicted standing on a lotus throne with multiple heads, arms, and legs and surrounded by a flaming aureole in consort with Krodheshvari shown lying on a tiger’s skin. Seven herukas, rendered over inverted triangles, and other figures surround the central image. 19th century...

19th century Chinese carved green fluorite scholar's table libation cup/brush washer with nice purple highlights on the superbly done top rim. It is carved in high relief with birds, flowers and rockery with the bottom part having a twisting stem type riser. In excellent condition, it measures without stand 3" high x 3" long (at the very top rim) x 2.25" wide as the top rim flairs out more across the length.

17th century scene of "Son Returns Home After Making His Fortune to the Surprise of His Family". Hand painted with inks on silk, we are dating this painting pre 1900. Not examined out of frame, it looks to be in excellent antique condition. Measures in frame 20" x 38" high, site size 14" 27" high.

Chinese Qing dynasty ink and color on silk painting in the imperial court style depicting two birds on branches set against flowers by Ma Jiatong (1865-1937). The inscription reads “following the spirit of the brush of Prime Minister Jiang Nansha” (referring to the early Qing painter Jiang Tingxi), by Xiangdong Jushi Jiatong.” Two seals of the artist are below. A well carved bamboo brush pot with beautiful patina. The main side showing figures in a garden setting, the backside with two animal cartouches and a poem in Chinese characters, as well delicately engraved in French and romanized Chinese. Condition: the base reinforced with leather, some tears and cracks and tiny losses, rim with flee bites. Dimension: height: c. 15.5, diameter: 11.1 cm.

One precious olive stone carving was depicted as a topic of Martial King Guamgong and his Qitu horse.
It is in good patina and preserved in perfect condition without any defects.
The excellent manual craftsmanship convinced us that it was a piece of art originated from good date.
